About us
Scopes of Research
Our main subject is to biochemically unravel the mechanisms behind various life processes of microorganisms. Specifically, we are analyzing the molecular basis responsible for the environmental adaptation of extremophilic microorganisms, exploring new microbial enzymes that catalyze unique reactions, conducting their structural and functional analyses, investigating the biosynthesis, metabolism, and physiological functions of membrane lipid molecules, and studying the molecular basis of biogenesis of bacterial extracellular membrane vesicles. We are also conducting biotechnological research based on the results obtained from these studies.
